PEOPLE

PEOPLE

We believe that the people who make our clothes matter.

Sustainability for our staff means operating our company in the United States.  This also means that the artisans who make our garments are doing so in The United States, in the garment district in New York City specifically.

This ensures that everyone employed by Yomisma and those who are handcrafting our clothes are making living wages under fair working conditions and we can see the conditions ourselves.

We have a wonderful partnership with artisans in the Chiapas Highland, Southern Mexico who make the embroidery included in our Spring collection.  We look forward to sharing more about that relationship and their incredible work.

We currently source our textiles from France where there are strict labor regulations.  Our textile mill is OEKO-TEX certified which confirm the human-ecological safety of textile products from all stages of production (raw materials and fibresyarnsfabrics, ready-to-use end products) along the textile value chain
